She's a lunchbag stowaway!

Noon at work: a moment of sustenance and solitude, a time to satisfy a late-morning/early afternoon case of the munchies, a moment between a person and their lunch. Well no more... SD, as you can see has ruined everything. All of which she turns to ka-ka in the moment it takes to open the velcro opening to that bag. Now I'm stuck the entire day, in my office, a petrified, ghastly vengeful choir doll standing on my desk, greeting every visitor with her look of frozen terror. I'm staying behind locked doors until quitting time.

She has succumbed to the seasonal marketing ploy of pumpkin spice EVERYTHING!!!

I had just baked a loaf of fresh pumpkin bread and was enjoying a slice on my cozy couch in the den, when I heard a chittering and gnawing sound from the kitchen. My heart froze ... froze like the wax visage of a choir doll stuck for eternity on the vowel O... as I snuck out from behind the door, I saw this haunting and yet somehow beautiful scene. There was Scary Doll, cutting into my bread and chewing away with a look of contentment and holiday bliss. She lurks, yes... but she lurks for the love of pumpkin. The heart knows what it wants, and longs for comfort.  Don't we all?

She's a stowaway in my catch-all box!

Spinner dropped some hints in her previous post that SD loves to immerse herself in piles of "randomly thrown together objects." My first thought wa,s "what the hell is that supposed to mean?" Well, sure enough I got my answer: my catchall box for random objects, bill statements, etc (anything that needs a holding area for filing, putting away, and the like). Come on, we all have catch-alls of some kind! Anyway, it took a few days to find her and all that time in a box has made her rather hungry. Also she claims that it's her birthday. I very much doubt that.

She's spooning with the 2%!

After many a-travels, SD is still imposing upon her hosts. This time taking up residence in my mom's fridge, not even acknowledging that her left arm fell off. It's funny what low temps can do to her tiny wooden brain.

She's boosting her blood sugar!!!!

I knew it!!!

As soon as Jamie told me that Scary Doll was having blood sugar issues, I suspected she was in our candy stash somewhere.  Sure enough, a quick peek into the Ghirardelli bag revealed that she was playing in a ball-pit of creamy delights.  Naughty dolly!!! Now I have to detoxify all these squares before I eat any of them.
I think SD has had the run of the house long enough.  It's time to pack her away again.  Don't tell her I said that -- she will bite my ankles.

She's in the mini fridge!!!

Our hotel room has the luxury of a mini fridge for storing our refreshments. Nice! Unfortunately, SD really took a shine to the crisper drawer and we cannot convince her to evacuate. She's been chilling for days! Then again, it's a sauna compared to the 3°F outside. Stay toasty, Scary Doll!

She's looking for the right herb!

Scary doll got in with the herbs & spices. At least she has great taste: there's nothing better than Penzey's! She's been lying there for days. How long does it take to find what you are looking for? Perhaps she is taking extra long because she knows the holidays are over, and that her time to return to the attic is fast approaching.

She's hosting a tea party!

I walked in on a disturbing scene. Seems Scary Doll wanted some company, so she invited Roy and Redtail to join her for tea. Drink not from her poison cup!!!

She's brown-bagging it with Drunk Santa!!!

I was calmly walking past our decorative fixture known as "Drunk Santa" (complete with wine bottle in a bag) when suddenly a pair of gaping eyes stopped me in my tracks. Scary Doll is lurking in the bag!!!! Drunk Santa probably didn't even notice and took a few sips of her forehead. I sense our yearly antics are drawing to a close so I have to find a really great spot for her next hidey-hole.

She's doing the can-can!

I'm sorry that you have to see this.  Jamwall and I have a little bit of a Diet Schweppes habit; every day or two we fill this basket and then have to go dump it into the recycling.  Poor Scary Doll, she never stood a chance against its fizzy allure.

She's in the lazy Susan!

Scary Doll knows that sometimes I hit the peanut butter hard during snacktime. Maybe this is her way of using her stunned petrified charms to keep my calorie intake in check. You never know where she'll turn up next and for what reason!

She's in the garlic!

Scary Doll spent the whole summer in the attic and therefore did not realize what a brawny and delicious garlic crop we produced in the garden.  As soon as she emerged from her storage bin she immediately took a huge garlic-bath, as evidenced by this photo.  After this she disappeared.  I wonder where she is lurking now?

She's a wine enthusiast!

We always knew Scary Doll liked the finer things ... as evidenced by this spotting.  She's spooning with the Rioja!

She's in with the cheeses!

Scary Doll knows I love cheese, and that I probably shouldn't eat quite so much of it ... so when I went for a clandestine nibble, she spooked me by popping out of the drawer!  Her scary visage was enhanced by her disguise of cling wrap.
